On the 8th of February, a Festival of Science was inaugurated in the Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creative Works. The event started with a spectacular animated and laser show. Then, Sergey Morozov, Governor and Chairman of the Ulyanovsk region Government, was called on. He awarded the eminent research officers of the Ulyanovsk region. Specialists of FRPC OJSC ‘RPA ‘Mars’ were on a list of honours.p>

The following specialists of RPA ‘Mars’ were awarded with a note of thanks of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region for their strong qualifications and fruitful research activity:p>

• - Andrey Korsunsky, leading programming engineer of Complex Research Department I;
• - Gennady Tokmakov, chief staff scientist of Complex Research Department II.

A diploma of All-Russia Contest laureate ‘The Best Engineer of the Year’ according to ‘Engineering Science of the Youth’ in the field of ‘Informatics, Information Networks, Computing Equipment (Information Networks & Technologies)’ was awarded to Alexander Podobry, programming engineer of the Department for Integrated and Computer-Aided Control.

The Festival ended with a concert given by popular musical bands of Ulyanovsk.
